Year of birth[edit]

It is one of the many prevailing Beatles myths that Tommy Moore was born in 1924. However, the death record for Thomas Henry Moore in the September quarter of 1981 in Liverpool clearly states that he was born on 12th September 1931.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.104.9.68 (talk • contribs) 16:16, 11 September 2011

Although I think it's reasonable to assume that this is true, you have put forward no way of confirming this from secondary sources - which is what Wikipedia policy requires (WP:V, WP:RS, etc.) Can any published sources confirm that he was born in 1931 rather than 1924? There is no official birth record for a Thomas Henry Moore in Liverpool in 1924. There is a Thomas H Moore born in Liverpool in 1926 and another Thomas H Moore born in Liverpool in 1931, which can be confirmed on FreeBDM (https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl). The death record for the Thomas Henry Moore who dies in Liverpool in 1981 gives his birth date as 12th September 1931. This can be sourced from Ancestry.com but a log-in is required to see the link.
