A question[edit]

Looking at the Pathé News footage of the original grave, I think the tablet now in the front centre of the plinth is the original grave stone. Although it seems to have an extra inscription at the bottom to Eleanor. My brief researches haven't shed any light on this. Anyone got any sourced information? And another. There are varied spellings for his grandson's surname: Longuet or Lonquet? Any definitive source? KJP1 (talk) 23:12, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's a "g" elsewhere on here, so I'll make it consistent. But it looks like a "q" in the Pathé News footage. Something stylistic? KJP1 (talk) 07:26, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
But clearly a "g" on the plaque now. Re-carved? KJP1 (talk) 07:32, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It is the original grave stone. Source: the newspaper article linked in note no. 9. – The name of Eleanor Marx was added in 1956. Source: Eleanor Marx. – It is a Q in the Pathé News footage. Obviously a mistake of the stonemason (the horrible french language!). Correct is of course only LONGUET.--Wikiraven65 (talk) 20:53, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Another question[edit]

2605:E000:100B:AEB:318E:F80:31E:F9B4 (talk) 08:05, 9 June 2020 (UTC)Marx's tomb is targetted because people believe his doctrines have killed tens of millions of people. Marx may even have the most murderous legacy in history, surely this is relevant? Why are his critics motivations not mentioned?[reply]

Find a reliable source that discusses the attackers' motivations and pop it in. KJP1 (talk) 08:28, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
