Please re-check the founding date of the "predecessor" institution. William J. Danker and Kiyoko Matsuda's book "More than Healing. The Story of Kiyoko Matsuda" states on page 74 that a theological debate between the Rev. Masahisa Uemura and Danjo Ebina was held in 1901 [that's for context] and that the Meiji Gakuin Theological Seminary was founded in the short-term aftermath of this debate, in 1903, not 1930. Danker and Matsuda specify that MGTS is "now Tokyo Union Theological Seminary."
