Tim Kurkjian sound bytes used on Mike & Mike in the Morning[edit]

Mike & Mike in the Morning, the morning radio show and TV show on ESPN 2, has 2 sound bytes that crack me up, yet there is nothing about them in here. One sound byte goes, TIMMY!, and the other has this, LIL LAOW, LIL LAOW, LIL LAOW, TIMMY! If anyone knows where these sound bytes originated from, please leave it on my talk page. Stature[edit]

      Tim is about 5' 5" ish. And no I don't think he looks like Mr. Rogers.

Announcers[edit]

Please have the announcers , especially Tim, stop talking about themselves. Stick to the game, and quit making such stupid comments. Ex. Get out of the way of the ball. Do you think the kids want to get hit? Please pay attention to the game and shut up once in a while. You don't need to be talking every second. It will make the game so much more exciting. Tie goes to the runner? Yes![edit]

Tim made the comment during the Little League World Series elimination game between Texas and Tennessee that there is nothing in the rulebook saying that “tie goes to the runner”. Josiah Porter was the runner in this instance. Well, by default “Tie” does go too the runner. The rules don’t need to specifically say so. The rules do cover the various ways that a baserunner may be put out at first base …. or other bases .., and the foremost way is “For the defensive player, while holding the ball in his hand or glove, to touch the base BEFORE the runner touches the base. The word “ before” is an absolute requitement. The interpretation of this rules makes any discussion of “ties” completely unnecessary. If there is an actual tie, then the defensive play has not touched the base before the runner, so the runner is safe. The runner is safe until put out. I would love to hear your response to this.
