References[edit]

This article needs serious help. The first two references, for instance, which should provide basic factual information, well, the first one doesn't look authoritative and is in fact dead, and the other is to a campus newspaper. There is no reference at all to (let alone more information on) this supposed 1997 documentary. Worst of all, these statements about Robb by the London Times and the one by the CDR, the only possible source, as far as I can tell, is Robb's own resume. We are taking his word for what is said about him? I've done as much as I could with limited knowledge and resources--if there really is an investigative journalist working on this page, they should do some work, some better work, to make this article up to snuff. Vandalism[edit]

I understand that not many people like the KKK, but putting 'all KKK members suck cock' at the bottom of the page is just plain immature. I've removed it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.238.211.36 (talk) 20:48, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

KKK.com[edit]

Explain what is "inappropriate" about adding KKK.com this article? It was added because it has a quote giving his line of thinking and identified Robb as KKK national director. He is the national director of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and KKK.com is their website. Agg56tt (talk) 23:11, 9 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

They are a terrorist group- what do you people expect? That "organization" is responsible for the slaughtering of entire families: children, elderly, women and men. Lucky for them, this is America, where inciting violence and hatred towards people because of their skin color is tolerated and is a "God-given right"... yeah God bless America.. woohoo.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.34.155.181 (talk) 14:10, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Name one crime committed by Thom Robb and his Klan! Just one. You cannot! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.207.184.41 (talk) 19:29, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I bet this liberal douche bag does not dare go to an Islamic site and call them terrorists. Lmao He has no idea what he’s talking about. Well I don’t agree with Robb they are far from a terrorist organization. A cult yes terrorists no. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.205.53.82 (talk) 14:25, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

For everyone asking, there's a handy Wikipedia category named 'Ku Klux Klan crimes' you can consult here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Ku_Klux_Klan_crimes There seem to be quite a few, so I'd suggest you get to reading. 2A00:EE2:2607:6500:4D52:2987:B4DA:BC14 (talk) 15:31, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality issues[edit]

It seems this article has been the target of sloppy, biased edits by white supremacists pushing a white power POV. The comments about the ACLU display strong bias. Stating that the ACLU is considered by some to be liberal is one thing, calling it anti-white or Jewish supremacist because it doesn't support Neo-Nazis and the KKK is a bit ridiculous. The comment about his first wife ditching him for a Black Panther seems dubious too. I would like someone to actually cite which source it's from, if it's not really just an outright vandalism to ramble about the Black Panthers. I'm flagging it for an uncited source and point of view issues. This article might require a rewrite to regain any level of encyclopedic value. --RaptorEmperor (talk) 07:10, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agree on the neutrality issues. An article about the head of the KKK that doesn't mention racism, white supremacy, or terrorism is glossing over the entire essence of the organization the guy leads. If someone reading this article didn't know what the KKK is (plausible, considering this is an international website), Robb comes across as a conservative pastor and generally nice guy. Readers don't get the impression that this is the head honcho of a controversial group, let alone a violent fringe one. The article probably needs a substantial rewrite. Dpenn89 (talk) 09:48, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What violent fringe group? The Knights Party is a non-violent group! Name one crime these people have committed. THERE ARE NONE! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.205.54.4 (talk) 20:25, 5 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not seeing any evidence of violence from the Knights' party, either. Detesting an ideology is one thing, but lying about it is quite another. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Quietguy425 (talkcontribs) 06:28, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Christian Identity Church website dead link[edit]

It looks like http://www.christianidentitychurch.net/ website no longer exists/doesn't work on modern browsers. I would update it to the archive link, but I can't find anywhere on that website that has that quote, and it would be better to link to that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jakevossen5 (talkcontribs) 23:28, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Death.[edit]

While I have changed living person to 2023 deaths, could we get a source on his death? Because I did a simple google search and it revealed nothing. All I could find on his death was a tweet from an source with questionable reliability in my opinion. Death Editor 2 (talk) 00:33, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted this. Per WP:BLP policy, a reliable source is not optional, it is required. Grayfell (talk) 00:35, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I will do my best in the future not to remove the living person category without a reliable source. Still, is there literally no report about his death that is reliable? Death Editor 2 (talk) 00:38, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Actually I did find one source, (ghsplash.com) but I have no idea if it's reliable or not, but from how it looks it seems to be extremely unreliable to me https://www.ghsplash.com/thomas-robb-cause-of-death-age-bio-children-wife-net-worth-white-supremacist/ Death Editor 2 (talk) 00:40, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict)I couldn't find anything either. There was a recent tweet from an account claiming to be from The Daily Loud, but that's basically nothing.
Something similar happened with Roger Pearson (anthropologist) a few weeks ago. Looking over WP:BDP I think goofed when handling that one. At least in that case there were enough borderline primary sources that it seemed too plausible to ignore. So far, I haven't found anything for Robb. This could just be a hoax, and the name is common enough that we cannot discount the possibility that this is a misunderstanding, also. Grayfell (talk) 00:49, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I could Theoretically email the fucking KKKK about it but, I don't want to do that and I don't think it would be treated as a reliable source either. So hmmmmmm. Death Editor 2 (talk) 00:52, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, don't do that. For one thing, the KKK has been fractured since the 20s. There isn't a single KKK, but they all claim to be the true' KKK. A tweet saying "the leader of the KKK is dead" is pretty juicy, but it's giving him too much credit. That's probably why there aren't sources yet, assuming it's even true.
I do not know ghsplasph.com. That source admits to not having any details to share, so I don't think this it's usable. Maybe it will be worth checking Arkansas newspapers in the next few days. Grayfell (talk) 00:58, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
He's the leader of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. Which is close enough to THE leader of the KKK given that they are all so small now a days, so I will give this rando twitter user some slack. But I hope that he is actually dead so I can change it to 2023 deaths and because he's a piece of shit. I will be checking in the coming days as well. Death Editor 2 (talk) 01:04, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I've found a couple of additional unreliable sources, which look like they may be hastily written or AI written based on this Wikipedia article, with the twitter stuff tacked-on. That's the kind of thing that tends to get cited in situations like this, which is a problem. We can go to WP:RPP if this gets any worse. Grayfell (talk) 01:30, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see a few edits but nothing too bad, so I don't think it's needed for now. Death Editor 2 (talk) 01:37, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think SBNC13.com is a reliable source either. Death Editor 2 (talk) 01:45, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that one looks especially fishy. I requested protection. I get why people are celebrating, but if this does sneak into the article WP:CIRC will make usable sources even harder to find. Grayfell (talk)
What town/city does he live in? If we know we can check local obituaries WikiSurfer2005 (talk) 04:26, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I believe in the quote 'most racist town in america.' Harrison, Arkansas. Death Editor 2 (talk) 04:27, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Harrison's newspaper is The Harrison Daily. I don't see a story on this yet, but if you do happen to find one later, it would be a good idea to capture it at archive.org or similar for convenience. Grayfell (talk) 05:22, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No new usable sources, but a few bad ones reporting on it as a 'viral' rumor. Assuming this really did start with the @thatsfetty tweet, I doubt it's true. It looks like he's just some kid who had less than a hundred followers and was shit-posting for fun. Maybe he has some inside knowledge about what goes on in Zinc, Arkansas, population 91, but... like, why would he? Why would anyone know or care about this? Grayfell (talk) 06:32, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Although most are saying Thomas Robb lived in Harrison, it appears that he lived in Zinc, Arkansas. Even though they are close, a Zinc-based newspaper would probably be a more direct source.
I did look into local obituaries from Zinc, but I couldn't find any serious funeral homes reporting on the death. Tiggy42 (talk) 16:32, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Zinc, Arkansas is very small, so I would be surprised if it has a newspaper. Grayfell (talk) 19:41, 25 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Death[edit]

Thomas Robb passed away on April 20, 2023 [1]

The cause of his death has not been officially confirmed, and conflicting reports have emerged about the circumstances surrounding it. While some sources suggest that Robb died of natural causes at his home in Harrison, Arkansas, it is important to wait for official confirmation before drawing any conclusions.

The news of his death was first announced on Twitter by Fetty, who stated that Robb had passed away at the age of 77. Robb's passing has elicited mixed reactions from both the white supremacist movement and the wider community. Some of his supporters have expressed sadness at his death, while others have used the opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to white nationalist ideology 2001:B07:6462:CFD:2D44:AB9F:3917:1B6F (talk) 08:32, 3 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Fresherslive.com" looks like a clickbait website and should not be cited on Wikipedia. The article can only be updated when a reliable source reports on this. Grayfell (talk) 23:16, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
He delivered a sermon in church on April 30, 2023 - if you see his bit-chute channel; so he was alive on the 20th. 74.90.162.253 (talk) 22:03, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot find any videos of him there which are less than a year old, but Bitchute's search function is just as bad as every other part of that site, so that doesn't mean much. I also wouldn't assume that anything on Bitchute is reliable, such as any specific dates. Per above, I assume the tweet about his death was a joke or hoax that went viral. If so, the tweet picked a good target, since anyone more important or active would've been able to quickly disprove the lie, and anyone less important wouldn't have gone viral. Grayfell (talk) 22:58, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't trust that site and he is almost certainly alive (sadly) Death Editor 2 (talk) 06:00, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Usage of past-tense pronouns relating to a potentially living figure.[edit]

In Thomas Robb's Wikepedia, although nothing about his death is sourced, and no death is mentioned, the pronoun "was" is used. Should this be changed, or have we decided he's dead? Tiggy42 (talk) 23:10, 23 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
