Entry[edit]

I can't seem to find an entry for the Broadway musical that this film was made from. Am I missing it, or should I create it? MichaelCaricofe 23:34, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thinking this article should be moved to either (film) or (movie), and depending on how much information can be gathered, the (musical) article should be created. Jimcripps 03:39, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hamburger sequence[edit]

I would like to know who did the impersonations in the "hamburger" sequence. It seems like that person ought to be identified where the sequence is mentioned, in the Story section of the article, but he doesn't seem to be. Can anyone help? Thanks. trivial[edit]

The "trivia" section includes this item:

If Washington, D.C. officials did not like the idea of a musical/revue about the Army, playwright Irving Berlin was ready to call it This Is the Navy, or This Is the Air Corps.

I'm inclined to drop this entirely. Not only is it unsourced, it doesn't make much sense. "Washington D.C. officials"? Does that mean the mayor? What relevant authority has he? The President, on the other hand, commands the Navy as well. Was Irving Berlin locking horns with some official with authority over the Army but not the Army Air Corps? And what does it mean to be "ready" to rename a creative work? Does that require preparation?

It sounds like somebody heard a humorous remark and took it literally. TypoBoy (talk) 16:54, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody responded to this. It's been nine years. I'm going to take out the bit about the Washington officials and the Navy. TypoBoy (talk) 12:30, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
