Lyrics[edit]

I happen to have had the lyrics for this show half-memorized in my head for years. I hit up a number of internet forums asking for the precise lyrics, but they were not to be found on the whole internet. Gary Stockdale, the co-writer of the song actually saw my poston AICN's Zone http://zone.aintitcool.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=71121 and responded. Here is the relevant post from Gary in full, as that section of the Zone requires a registration:

Here are the lyrics, written with Marie Cain. Maybe it was she who sent the original question...

Cruise control, rock 'n' roll
Nuclear grafitti
It's a babe-alert, miniskirt,
Microwave bikini

Got a red corvette
On a Technicolor freeway
Playin' road-roulette
Lookin' for a change of scene
THEY CAME FROM OUTER SPACE
THEY CAME FROM OUTER SPACE
(Outer space!)

Apple pie, plastic skies
Neon Mona Lisa
Far from home, mobile phone
Polyester pizza

Goin' all the way
On a frantic planet
'Cross the U.S.A.
It's a proto-perfect dream
THEY CAME FROM OUTER SPACE
THEY CAME FROM OUTER SPACE

The singers were, as I remember, Terry Wood, Michael Now, Marie Cain and myself.

The question on your site was forwarded to me by my friend Tony Reitano, who wrote one of the episodes.
