Thinking about it, when I was source searching for this page, I noticed that the actor is due to be in some stage musical this summer, so possibly means he's not going to be around anymore. How long has Chelsea left for? GunGagdin^Moan 22:57, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What a pointless character he turned out to be then. Cant really understand why they'd make such a fanfare about him coming into it for only a few months. Yeah, treat him like former, i'm sure he'll be back once Chelsea returns. I wish I never bothered unmerging him now :) 21:29, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

Articles for new characters entering soaps are very common but they don't mean the character is important or notable outside the show. Usually they are just articles to keep the audience up-to-date with the show itself. Even guests get articles of this kind. The only interesting reference is the one about race attitude but this also deals with the show and could be added in the main EastEnders article to advance its quality. The character appeared in less than 6 months in a long-running show as hundreds other characters and I don't see any book or magasine discussing about him independently of the show itself. -- Magioladitis (talk) 16:38, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm for keeping for now until we're told for definite that he is not returning. It has sources and majority of it is real world information, so it's not breaking any rules, and I dont think we can judge the article's merits on what's interesting to us personally, because who can say what will be of interest to every reader of this page? These "Foo enters the show" references are really usefull for List of characters articles but I don't see them used there. People tend to create unreferenced lists of characters. This redirect has already been placed in Category:EastEnders character redirects to lists (a subcategory of Category:EastEnders characters) via the redirect template {{R from fictional character}}, but the category sorting is still useful.
