AMERICAN film?[edit]

Why is it classified as an "American drama film" The producers, authors, director, cast and crew are Indians. It takes place and was filmed in India,

it’s an American film because it is made by an American production house and was released exclusively in America (Thought its global release is meant for Netflix, it was released in Los Angles so that it is eligible for the oscars). FYI, the director is American, and so is the main crew.
