Strange citation[edit]

@Seasider53: The article contains an odd citation History of Cooperative Soybean Processing in the United States (1923-2008), William Shurtleff and Akiko Aoyagi (2008), p. 167 ISBN 9781928914167. Is this real? Talk to SageGreenRider 13:09, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@SageGreenRider: Yes. Seasider53 (talk) 13:42, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Seasider53: Thanks! It is available online anywhere? I'm curious as to the connection between cooperative soybean processing 1923-2008 and the Wayside Inn Talk to SageGreenRider 02:23, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@SageGreenRider: Google the book title and “Wayside Inn”. It comes up as a result in Google Books. Seasider53 (talk) 02:26, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Seasider53: Hmmm... not sure that the reminiscence of one Robert Boyer in 1985 are an entirely reliable source for the associated claim but that's just me... Cheers! Talk to SageGreenRider 02:36, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This also came up. Haven’t looked too deeply into it. Seasider53 (talk) 02:51, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! BTW, not sure if there's a bright line between an inn or a tavern and a house. In the UK it's called a pub, meaning public house, meaning someone who decided one day to open their house to the public. It's one of those Ship of Theseus problems of identity. I'll ask around and come back here shortly. Talk to SageGreenRider 03:20, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
