Love this article[edit]

Valereee I love this article and am so glad you wrote it ... and glad it has been made a lead hook in Queue 6 (tomorrow morning). Also, I noticed on the DYK nom template that you wanted this to be held for June 5 World Environment Day. Since that can't happen, I hope something else happens. That one or more persons working for some news network sees it on the main page tomorrow ... and remembers the project when June 5 rolls around. Length differences[edit]

The examples illustrated differ considerably in length. Doesn't this reduce their utility in illustrating trends? And why are there such differences, assuming that they are made of the same materials? It might be helpful if the article addressed this.Bill (talk) 17:34, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Billposer! Hm, because I'm a knitter myself I do know why that is true -- knitting vs. crocheting, type of stitch used, and whether more than one person created all the items or several people created them, all of which will affect finished size. However I've not come across that information in sourcing, so hesitate to insert it. I'll keep my eyes peeled for sourcing on that, thanks! valereee (talk) 17:42, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Warming stripes[edit]

I was wondering what the connection is between this project and the warming stripes that Ed Hawkins produces (https://www.ncas.ac.uk/en/18-news/2935-ed-hawkin-s-warming-stripes-add-colour-to-climate-communication).
