Hail Nero! I'll be handling this review. The improvements you've made from the 1st of December (all in one go I might add!) are very impressive, and have certainly taken the article leagues above what it once was. I shall hope to have this done in the next day or so. Thanks! ExcellentWheatFarmer (talk) 00:07, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

General Comments[edit]

  • Ran it through Earwig's copyvio detector, no similarities.
  • Page seems stable - has had no major controversies, and only a handful of edits in a while.
  • Images are all relevant and fine to use. This isn't mandatory for the article to be passed, but consider adding WP:ALT (Alt Text) to the images.
  • The sources are all reliable, and are well-laid out.
  • Upon a read-through, the article does not seem to have any POV/neutrality issues, and has no original research.
  • MoS is consistent with other GA-standard Hartnell era articles (using The Rescue and Planet of Giants as reference).
  • The article is suitably broad AND focused as befits the topic.

Alright, that's it for now. I'll start on the prose soon. ExcellentWheatFarmer (talk) 00:51, 26 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Conception and writing[edit]

  • "He had a budget of GB£450 per episode." It feels odd to include the GB before the amount of money. Doctor Who has been previously stated to be a British television show in the article, so it's a bit moot.

Casting and characters[edit]

  • "William Hartnell felt at ease with The Romans as it allowed him to perform some comedy; it similarly became a favourite for William Russell." Clarify WHY Hartnell and Russel felt at ease with the comedy.

Filming[edit]

  • "Barry was unhappy with Nero's introductory scene;" Would it be possible to clarify what Barry was unhappy with the scene about?

Aside from the above comments, I cannot find much fault in this article. It's clear, concise, and gives a very informative look at the episode. Given that the above comments are resolved, I will be happy to pass this article. Thanks! ExcellentWheatFarmer (talk) 00:29, 27 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the review and kind words, ExcellentWheatFarmer! The "GB" before the money amount is the result of the template {{GBP}}, which is standard; it's possible to suppress this if you think it is out of place. Unfortunately, there's no clarification in the source regarding specifically why the serial became a favourite for Russell, or what Barry was unhappy with in particular. As for Hartnell, the sentence is more referring to the fact that he felt at ease because it allowed him to perform comedy; there's no real clarification needed there. Let me know if you have any other comments or concerns. – Rhain 00:38, 27 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nope! This is a definite pass. Congrats on the GA! ExcellentWheatFarmer (talk) 00:42, 27 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
