(old talk)[edit]

These 2007 notes --now four subsections 1.1 to 1.4-- pertain to the article title (page name). See also Talk:Queen of spades and Talk:Queen of spades (disambiguation). --P64 (talk) 18:08, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Title page[edit]

The Queen of Spades redirects here... why not have that as the main article? Fireplace 01:11, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why?![edit]

Why the hell The Queen of Spades redirects here? The story by Pushkin doesn't even have it's own article? How can it be? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.94.147.197 (talk) 20:55, 13 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Spelling of names[edit]

I have reverted some vandalism and changed names where they are not as listed on the BBC web site [1]. Springnuts 22:52, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move[edit]

Acording to all guidelines I've seen (WP:NAME, etc), a title like this is only needed if there's a base article as well. That plus the fact that the redirect leads to here, prompts me to wish to move this to The Queen of Spades. Any objections? ♫ Melodia Chaconne ♫ 12:21, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Of course. Fireplace 16:14, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What about Pique Dame (Queen of Spades) by Franz von Suppe[edit]

There is an opera/operetta with the same name by Suppe: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franz_von_Supp%C3%A9#List_of_works Here is a listing of the tracks from a CD of the opera: http://www.allmusic.com/album/release/franz-von-supp%C3%A9-pique-dame-mr0002865864

Does anyone know enough about this opera to create page for it, and a disambiguation page to differentiate from the opera by Tchaikovsky.

Hello, Kuncherto. I've created a stub with enough references for expansion at Pique Dame (Suppé). I put disambiguating hatnotes on it and on the article for Tchaikovsky's opera. It is also listed at Queen of spades (disambiguation). The German Wikipedia article has quite a lot of information, but is rather poorly referenced with no inline citations.
