Deletion debate[edit]

  • If Gary Ramon is sufficiently notable, then I agree - the article should not be deleted. However, it seems difficult to use his notability as a justification for this article, when Ramon has no article of his own (it redirects to Sun Dial). Criterion #6 states "it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such." Therefore if this article is not deleted, I think it should be redirected to Sun Dial, as The Modern Art were not particularly notable in their own right. Compare with Seymour (band) and On a Friday. • I'm pretty certain Ramon is notable (i.e., he has multiple independent sources, most of which are probably from magazines covering psychedelic rock). The fact that he doesn't have his own article here shouldn't be taken as proof of his non-notability. I think that merging this article (and possibly Quad (music) as well) into Sun Dial would make that article too cluttered. If the articles need to be merged, then let's create a Gary Ramon stub and merge them into that. —Psychonaut 10:55, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
