The Inspector?[edit]

I know that this character is a self-caricature of Freleng (as all of his other big nosed, angry characters, such as Yosemite Sam, etc), but I had also always gotten the impression that it was supposed to be the Inspector. You know, the Inspector is after the Panther, as in the movie. If you think about it, he does look like the later Inspector character, just without the inspector clothes. Basically, a big nose with a mustache. Since the Pink Panther series came first, I'm wondering if this was a more generic version of the same character.Eric B (talk) 16:59, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
