Very confusing.[edit]

I've never heard of this book - my friend is a fan of this writer (Andrew Gross) and told me this is a story of his he really likes.

I just tried to read this, and it's written with very little - if any - coherence.

Characters appear and disappear without rhyme or reason. Plot threads start but don't' end. Plots ends, but don't start.

A character who is described as being female all of a sudden turns into male ('Emille).

I'm not the person to to fix this - it needs someone who is a fan of this book and knows it twill enough to do the work and make some coherence out of what currently is, a jumble. — Preceding unsigned comment added by UNOwenNYC (talkcontribs) 23:47, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Emilie is female all through the book. Maybe there is a typo somewhere (I didn't see it).
And I don't see any characters appearing and disappearing for no reason.
I liked this book. Picked it up at a second-hand book exchange at a train station.
I'm wondering if there is any part of the book that is historically correct, was hoping to find that info here. 2001:1C00:262A:F800:AC92:F17C:7DE9:F750 (talk) 20:22, 11 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
