Uh, "Generally follows the plot"? No.[edit]

I had a laugh when I read that this story "generally follows the plot" of the book. The departures are severe. Much of the original is lost and much is invented. This film is scarcely like the original...its changes and rewrites are perhaps more radical as the 1959 Cushing adaptation. I've expanded the changes section and changed the description. Differences from the Novel?[edit]

Oughtn't this article consist of more than just a list of differences from the novel? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.5.10.153 (talk) 14:15, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In the differences list it is not mentioned that Frankland is the estranged father of Laura Lyons. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.197.191.228 (talk) 22:45, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Frankland doesn't appear at all. Timrollpickering (talk) 13:49, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
