Untitled[edit]

I have removed one reference to ABC-CLIO and added complete references to this book in 2 other places. I added a complete reference each time because the page numbers were different. Mjohnson145 (talk) 21:53, 17 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Visual editing[edit]

I have 4 questions: 1. Can someone either tell me how I can revert to non-visual editing - I accidentally clicked a tab to use a visual editor and now I cannot revert.

2. I am not sure how to create a metadata column - the image was supposed to be in it but I do not see where to create it.

3. I made changes in the CLIO cite but do not know how to remove the Cleanup Box message.

4. Are there rules as to how many images can be inserted in the article? I would like to insert 3 more to show visually the magazine name changes and also to illustrate the sentence about the ad message.

Not sure what you mean, in an infobox? (Like the thing on Washington Post in the upper Right with the picture and all of the information)

Yes and no. The issue is that the images that you are using are "Fair Use". See WP:IG for information of Galleries. However, another image to show the ad message would be fine, and with the changes to the name of the magazine should be fine. I'm just not sure long term that the two that are currently there (both of which are for same title), but we'll see.Naraht (talk) 21:27, 20 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying to learn the protocols of Wikipedia. This is a response to Naralt re: the 4 questions above and Naralt's responses:

-- I solved the visual editing problem somehow.

-- There is no cleanup box left. Thank you!

-- I got the message re: the current images/fair use etc. I am going to work on images today and remove those in the files which are not being used in this entry.

--re: the Template:Infobox Newspaper question. I see how to insert it. However I wonder if it should be on this Disability Rag page because this publication is no longer being published?? I looked up the Life magazine entry and see it does NOT have a Template:Infobox Newspaper. So I think maybe I should follow that example? Please advise. :: Thanks for all help. Life Magazine is a Magazine, not a newspaper, so if it had one, it would have been Template:Infobox Magazine (and I wonder why it doesn't). The Washington Star, which was one of the larger Washington DC papers (when I was growing up, it was the Competition for the Washington Post) but went under in 1981 has a Template:Infobox Newspaper, so I think it *should* have one. I do articles for Fraternities and Sororities that have gone inactive decades ago and still use the same infobox that is used for those that are active. (And my handle is Naraht, the fifth letter is an h, not an l, just letting you know). I added colons for indentations, since that is the standard way that conversations are done.Naraht (talk) 20:06, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
