Diplomatic immunity??[edit]

This seems like a mistranslation or like someone misspoke (or perhaps wanted to emphasise the immunity granted was "as good" as diplomatic immunity). Diplomatic immunity is used to describe someone not being liable under a countries laws as they are acting in their official capacity as a diplomat for another state and are bound by that countries laws instead. This clearly does not apply in this case. It seems like what is meant here is legal immunity - that is Thai authorities unilaterally agreeing to not prosecute. it would take an expert in international law and high-level translation skills to confirm whether "diplomatic" is the correct term. I don't think it's common knowledge what kind of temporary visas, licenses, emergency authority etc had to be granted to rescue divers from other countries. Red tape is red tape, in the US or Thailand. But for the purpose of this Wikipedia page, I don't think it should be changed. Anyone researching that deeply into the legal details of the rescue would need to go to special sources for that kind of information. MandieJ1975 (talk) 18:13, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Broken link[edit]

the link to the press conference with the boys on ABC iView no longer works. It should be removed or redirected. MandieJ1975 (talk) 18:04, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

when was the team found alive?[edit]

In the search and contact section it states that the team was found at 22:00, but in the timeline section it states that they were found at 20:20. I followed up on the source(55), but I was not able to find any information on the time in it. I looked into the live reporting on BBC where the first report of the team being found is on July 2 at 18:14. However this may be due to different time zones. So essentially I don’t know what to do about it. Modrocka (talk) 20:24, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
