Name change[edit]

It is no longer called CajaMar Tenerife Bluetrail but Fred. Olsen Tenerife Bluetrail. Although it is better known as Tenerife Bluetrail to dry, so the latter should be the name of the article. All the best.--AmaroPargoTenerife (talk) 10:54, 4 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The official name of the race is Tenerife Bluetrail, and the previous names CajaMar Tenerife Bluetrail and Fred. Olsen Tenerife Bluetrail were temporary names associated with different sponsors. However, it's worth noting that the race may still be commonly referred to by its previous names in certain contexts or by certain individuals who are familiar with those names.
In any case, I agree with you that the article should use the official name of the race, which is Tenerife Bluetrail. Idecogestion (talk) 12:04, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

CajaMar Tenerife BluetrailTenerife Bluetrail – Please place your rationale for the proposed move here. Idecogestion (talk) 12:19, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Idecogestion: Please indicate why you want to make this title change. I see you have done so above, but this rationale does not appear on the requested moves page. Snowmanonahoe (talk) 14:05, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support As far as I know, it's never normal practice to include the sponsoring companies in the names of sporting events. Snowmanonahoe (talk) 14:12, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also the official name of the race is Tenerife Bluetrail, and the previous names CajaMar Tenerife Bluetrail and Fred. Olsen Tenerife Bluetrail were temporary names associated with different sponsors. Besides, the article in spanish version has been renamed as "Tenerife Bluetrail". Idecogestion (talk) 14:38, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
