Error under "The Pythia"[edit]

A nice effort! Unfortunately there's a substantial error in the last paragraph of the subsection "The Pythia." The conclusions of De Boer and Hale are of course that there IS a very great likelihood that ethylene fumes emitted from faults beneath the temple occasioned prophetic frenzies, as the citation linked to note 21 in fact indicates. An accessible treatment of their research is also available at the New York Times in an article of 03/19/2002 by William J. Broad, "For Delphic Oracle, Fumes and Visions." The text-proper of this otherwise excellent entry should be corrected on this score. 64.246.233.218 (talk) 03:34, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
