84xxxxxx Phone Numbers[edit]

Last year, while purchasing a SIM card at CMHK, I saw a variety of 84xxxxxx numbers avaliable on the sheet of numbers I could choose from. I am unsure if other carriers have this option. I ended up choosing one of these numbers, and I couldn't find any information on 84xxxxxx numbers online. Steam(the game platform) did not accept this as valid until recently, so I am wondering if there've been updates on this situation. My research yields nothing, but if anyone has anything to share on this please do so. I am pretty sure that 84xxxxxx is the format, as all other private numbers either are yxxxxxxx or yxxxxxxx.
