Birth year 1872 or 1878?[edit]

The Library of Congress Name Authority File gives 1878 as Holmes's year of birth; is there a reference for his birthyear being 1872 as it appears at present? Dsp13 (talk) 22:33, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Find A Grave, which is linked in the article, says 1878. Tombstones don't lie, or rarely do, so I have changed to 1878. Thanks for raising the issue.--Stetsonharry (talk) 13:54, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
