Create as a dab page[edit]

Tapeworm is a common term and currently redirect to the genus Cestoda which is a biological description. Tapeworm should be a dab page for its other uses. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 21:58, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: A first step would be to make an actual disambiguation page at Tapeworm (disambiguation). And then start discussion (likely at Talk:Cestoda) to determine if there is consensus that Cestoda is not actually the primary topic for "Tapeworm". Anomie 12:40, 6 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This common name should redirect to Eucestoda, whose members are all tapeworms. The current redirect target, the Cestoda, includes other non-tapeworm-like animals. Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:08, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not done @Chiswick Chap: please start a Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion and notify the talk pages of the current and future targets. Once settled it can point to wherever the consensus decides. — xaosflux Talk 14:50, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect for discussion[edit]

I'm proposing to have Tapeworm redirect to Eucestoda rather than Cestoda as it seems to me a better match. Anyone interested is invited to comment at [1]. Chiswick Chap (talk) 19:06, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
