The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists.

Merger of colleges/departments into this article[edit]

I support merging these small, unsourced, and non-notable articles into this larger article. I went ahead and merged Symbiosis School of Economics as a trial merger. I encourage others to merge the rest, unless notability can be established. PDCook (talk) 01:06, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There wasn't much to merge that wasn't already covered in the Symbiosis International University article. It was basically a content fork and I went ahead and redirected it. Much more work needs to be done with these page, and if no one objects, I may merge/redirect the rest of the colleges/departments into the main article, unless notability of the individuals colleges are established. I am not really sure if Symbiosis Society and Symbiosis International University are on and the same. All Symbiosis institutes are not under Symbiosis International University.--Nilotpal42 (talk) 01:32, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I had suggested the merger in the first place. But the problem is that all institutions managed by Symbiosis Society are not affiliated to Symbiosis International University. We could either make the Symbiosis Society page the main article and cover Symbiosis International University within it. Or we could make two articles, one each for Symbiosis Society and Symbiosis International University. Personally I would prefer the latter. And one more thing people who had created ar substantially contributed to the other pages do not seem to agree on a merger.--Nilotpal42 (talk) 18:56, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I un-redirected the Symbiosis Society article. Perhaps I shouldn't be the one to do these mergers, if it is controversial (I guess I assumed people would discuss it here) and I clearly don't understand the hierarchy of the organizations.
