Notability[edit]

Earlier today this stub was redirected by @Sitush: but was reverted by an IP without any reasoning. The same IP has also made a large number of edits to the userpage of @Abitoby:, who started the article. I agree with Sitush's analysis that notability isn't inherited, especially given the single citation in the article, which frankly is more about Pranab Mukherjee than it is about Suvra. I was tempted to revert the IP edit but given the unusual circumstances, I think this warrants a little discussion first. Green Giant (edits) (talk) 15:15, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I did some digging after the IP revert (presumably logged out). Alas, Abitoby has had a few problems but they do have half an argument here. For example, we have Samantha Cameron and Michelle Obama. I'm still not convinced that we have enough to justify this article but if Abitoby or anyone else can find some serious meat to flesh this thing out then fair enough. - Sitush (talk) 15:32, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Same here, I am happy with leaving it as an article if there are some decent sources. The IP edits are what stopped me from reverting, because I could understand being logged out and making a couple of edits but to make thirty nine edits over five hours and not notice? That takes some dedication. :) Green Giant (edits) (talk) 15:49, 13 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why a redirect to her husband?[edit]

If the woman was not notable I think a redirect to her notable husband is not usually done on Wikipedia. At least not for other spouses of presidents of India. See Spouse of the President of India. Could/should this article be removed? Alice2Alice (talk) 11:06, 19 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
