Nena Rodrigue is an American television executive and producer. She is currently the head of programming for Sundance Channel. She was promoted by Sarah Barnett in March 2013, the network's new president and general manager. [1]

Under her overall deal at Touchstone Television, which is a division of the Walt Disney Company and ABC, she produced numerous television pilots including Lost & Found, The Johnny Chronicles, Couples, MEDs, and Being Brewster.

Prior to her stint at Touchstone, she was the Executive Vice-President of Imagine Television where she supervised the development and production of numerous series including Felicity (TV series), Mulholland Drive, Sports Night, and The PJs.

She also worked as the Vice-President of development at Witt-Thomas Productions which was producing The John Larroquette Show and Brotherly Love at the time.

Her career began in alternative programming at Fox Broadcasting Company (Fox) where she was involved with reality and sketch comedy series such as The Ben Stiller Show, The Edge and Real Detectives.

A Wolf Films vet, Rodrigue oversaw the expansion of the Peacock’s “Law and Orderfranchise and served as exec veep at the Dick Wolf shingle.

Sundance has narrowed down the field to three scripts, The Descendants, T and Behind The Sun, and is considering picking up one of them straight to series. The Descendants, written by Aaron Guzikowski and exec produced by Sarah Condon, centers on a sheriff policing his hometown and the neighboring Indian community they clash with. T, penned by Anya Epstein and Dan Futterman and exec produced by Ira Glass and Alissa Shipp, centers on a transgender male. Behind The Sun, written by Dylan Gary and exec produced by Stanley Tucci, Steve Buscemi, Wren Arthur, is a 1980s drama about a family whose son is allergic to the sun.

Other Heads of Programming on American TV: Susanne Daniels (MTV)[1][2]; Carolyn Strauss[3]; Sue Naegle (HBO)[4]; Michael Wright (TNT)[5]; Jeff Wachtel (USA Network)[6].

Separate article for former programming?[edit]

Should we create a separate article just for former programming and have just a short paragraph on this page that mentions the key elements and shows? It would help to clean up the article while keeping current/future/developmental programming on this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Encmetalhead (talkcontribs) 14:24, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

SundanceTVSundance TV – Aren’t “Sundance” and “TV” separate words? Sometimes I see them separately, other times I don’t. I think it is best to split the two phrases up. 208.105.77.158 (talk) 19:27, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
