I have one thing to say- this man is a genius. May God bless him. TheKid 05:27, 7 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article is seriously biased. Forget Crouch's civil rights work, academic history, and influence on the music industry -- instead muse about the pillars of African American society. Thumbs down.

Where is there any biography here? Did Crouch ever go to college? Being born in 1945, Crouch had to do something to avoid the draft and Vietnam, so what did he do about that? Did Crouch ever go to graduate school? There's really no biographical detail in the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.49.20.187 (talk) 17:53, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bias[edit]

I read this article and I get the feeling it was written by people who don't like Mr. Crouch, all I see is how Crouch criticizes people and things, makes mean comments and fights with his fists. Pfft, and I thought Wikipedia was overly concerned about the NPOV thing. If I knew the tag to put on this page then I would.--Signor 08:00, 2 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. This article is fiercely biased against Crouch. It needs significant editing and rewriting.

I agree, the article does seem to be biased against Mr. Crouch. The man's written books - so where is his bibliography? I may add one on soon. - Rabbit 11 (Byrun) 15 July 2006

Crouch is a fucking moron; just stating the facts about him will paint him in a bad light because that's who he is. Deal with it.

Hopefully the section introduction outlining Crouch's disillusionment with the Black Power movement and the racial essentialist politics espoused by certain black establishments since the 1960s will put his razzing in context. I think it underscores his concern over certain diversionary or even destructive tendencies rather than some gratuitous desire for confrontation. When he slaps people, it's to wake them up.75.111.54.141 (talk) 00:19, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see the article as biased at all. It is a little thin in terms of not addressing his personal history very much. That Crouch is described as criticizing people a lot is an unremarkable observation; after all he is a cultural critic whose views we can agree or disagree with. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.242.248.88 (talk) 05:14, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Crouch !!![edit]

Seems like a very interesting fellow to me. Not in the traditional jazz camp, myself. " I love smoothe Jazz"; "That's right I said it" !!! "Smoooothe Jazz" !!! LOL !! Mr. Crouch might have a problem with that, but I think I'd like to read and learn more about the dude. Should be keeping his hands to himself. Might end up in wwwdot hotghettomess dotcom; where one would click on "Just Sad" (Tag) and see Mr. Crouch's Face right there next to the lady getting bunned by that little kid.

  • What are you talking about? Drumnbach 13:02, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I think this article is incredibly biased. Especially calling him a "conservative". I wouldn't classify him as either a conservative or a liberal. He doesn't belong to any group but his own.

in his opinions on Jazz, he's conservative, as in he's trying to preserve the old way of doing things — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.135.210.89 (talk) 08:57, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Come on[edit]

Just editing the formatting of the page and adding a bibliography has made this page look a little smarter and look a little more positive, though we still need a lot more information about his positive contributions. We also need to pad out the biography. If you just find a tidbit and put it in the article, somebody will come along and verify / reword it later. Drumnbach 13:03, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
