Bussing[edit]

While it's true that St Modan's current location necessitates all the pupils being bussed there, its wide catchment area meant that most pupils were bussed even to its prior location in St. Ninians. Given that its catchment is the same as three non-RC high schools (some proportion of which also bus pupils from smaller villages) then maybe 80% of pupils were bussed to the St. Ninians site. As it is, the reader could mistake the current wording to imply that the proportion bussed in jumped greatly with the site move. I'll see if I can find some statistics. -- Finlay McWalter··–·Talk 21:01, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In fact, not 3 high schools (I was thinking Stirling, Wallace, and Bannockburn) but the article says its catchment area includes that of Dunblane High School, Denny High School, and Alva Academy. And kids from Blanefield would go to Balfron High. So the proportion bussed in, at any possible location, would always be very large. -- Finlay McWalter··–·Talk 21:23, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Headteacher[edit]

The school's website is a mess. Now the homepage (http://stmodans.co.uk/) says the headteacher is Mrs Friel, and the contact-us page (http://stmodans.co.uk/?page_id=1314) says it's Mr O'Neill. On the balance, it looks like they've updated the home page and forgotten the contact page. -- Finlay McWalter··–·Talk 21:15, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
