Founded in Germany[edit]

Yes there is a reason that the category cannot refer to the current Polish boundaries. To apply it to places like Breslau in 1918 or 1913 is just unacceptable POV-pushing that ignores that the vast majority of the population in Breslau was German and would be highly insulted if you tagged them as in Poland. Brodnica is of course not as clear cut a place as Breslau, but you cannot distinguish them based on the present boundaries of Poland. To try to retroactively apply the present boundaries of Poland will result in unacceptable division of things in ahistorical ways. Beyond that, Category:1925 establishments in Poland clearly should apply the 1925 boundaries of Poland, which are very different than the current boundaries of the country.John Pack Lambert (talk) 04:43, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You are using a lot of words like "unacceptable", but your approach is opinion and just as much "POV pushing" as you are alleging. It may be unacceptable to you to have a scheme that categorizes by current boundaries, but that category has sat on this article for a long time, you are the first to object, and Poland's current boundaries are non-POV and recognised by its neighbours.
