Suggested Enhancements to this article from a reader[edit]

Perhaps an image of the specialist camera and or the camera CCD would enhance this article.

When operational, perhaps an image of the moon (only half a degree wide) or a section of sky comparing with a standard pixel camera image to illustrate the resolution power of the camera for a non-science reader. Possibly also a comparison of images that highlights the spectral resolution (color resolution) of the camera.

I think also an explanatory comment on why this sky survey is useful in astronomical terms. What progression of knowledge is expected to be gained from this project.

independent references[edit]

None of the current references are independent, since they all appear to be written or published by ANU. Peer-review is not a magic wand for independence, as per WP:RS. Stuartyeates (talk) 06:31, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There are currently two references: both are peer-reviewed articles in academic journals. They are cited for verification of technical details about the system, which is a standard, acceptable use of primary sources. Iridia (talk) 07:44, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There usage is acceptable for verification of technical details. There usage is not acceptable for demonstrating that the topic meets the WP:GNG, which talks about "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject". Stuartyeates (talk) 08:09, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for adding the independent refs, it's now clearly notable as far as I'm concerned. Stuartyeates (talk) 09:18, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Iridia (talk) 09:30, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
