Casualties et al.[edit]

@TiltuM: Thanks for that, I remember thinking that I needed to reconcile the numbers and forgot. Regards.Keith-264 (talk) 14:23, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Confusion about rail links?[edit]

Diedenhofen (Thionville) and Luxembourg are nowhere near Maubeuge (200km east), and Namur is also 75km to the east, so is there some confusion about the relevance of Maubeuge to the rail line between these places (as mentioned current introduction and in the 'analysis' text)?

I think that those places had lines connecting Germany with Belgium and France but I've forgotten why they were significant. I'll have another look. Keith-264 (talk) 13:59, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I found a railway map that showed that Luxembourg wasn't the terminus of the rail line but I've lost it since. I've altered the Analysis section slightly. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 20:02, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Gilgamesh4: Strachan was moving on from his Maubeuge narrative to another topic at that point so I have made the rail closures a general rather than specific point. Keith-264 (talk) 20:21, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
