File:2ch Shift JIS art.png
An example of American Shift_JIS art.

This is ASCII art.

I'm seeing characters there that do not belong to the ASCII set.--Kaonashi 01:45, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I think I never saw the word Shift JIS art in Japanese text. Is it really used, or coined for this Wikipedia article? --Fukumoto 15:06, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Shift JIS is the character encoding used for this images. The title is set the same way as the ASCII art article.

I live in Japan and often see 2ch, but I never saw the word of "Shift JIS art" too. I think this article sould be renamed. --Lonchi**-en 07:35, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stalin?[edit]

Someone created a portrait of Stalin. The Japanese ASCII art article has one. Isn't he a notable example of this art? I too think this article should be renamed or merged with ASCII art.--Shinkansen Fan (talk) 01:53, 30 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
