I want to know how to get write to Shaun Micallef. he deserves heaps of fan mail

Why is his wife just named "Leandra"? Does she have a surname? Or is she just like "Cher"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.159.111.98 (talk) 04:43, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that maybe her surname is Micallef ;)

"His later television comedy draws heavily on surrealism and Dadaism." - This assertion needs to be supported with evidence. Rintrah 06:09, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

sorry - i don't know how to correct it, because i don't know what the answer is but he can't have 3 sons with 4 birth years, unless one died, and then that should be mentioned thanks

I don't think Micallef co-hosted the Logies with Michael Crawford. I was under the impression (having watched it) that he was the sole host. - Mark 09:21, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Facial similarity to Paul Krugman[edit]

Has anyone noticed that Shaun Micallef bears a striking similarity to (2008 Nobel Prize in Economics winner) Paul Krugman? If not, Google some images, they are the dead split.SeventhHell (talk) 01:44, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Influences[edit]

I think Woody Allen should be included as one of Shaun's influences.--Tyranny Sue (talk) 10:05, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Commercial popularity[edit]

User:Afterwriting, with respect I have reverted your edits made to the Commercial popularity section, as I cannot see what they have contributed to the article. It is acting outside Wikipedia guidelines to leave ambiguous edit summaries such as "...(The) section is far too pretentiously worded", and creating edits on that basis is far too subjective.

If by "pretentious" you mean academically worded, I recognise this and have intentionally written this way in accordance with WP:MOS. Keep in mind that this is an academic encyclopedia article, and not a generic biography or news page, thus academic language is appropriate.

If on the other hand you believe that WP:NPOV has been violated, please do not hesitate to say so and demonstrate specifically where you think it has occured. Jason McConnell-Leech (talk) 05:51, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Afterwriting's edit. Wikipedia articles are not supposed to be written in "academic" style; this is an encyclopedia, not an academic journal. We are supposed to strive for professionally-written, engaging articles. If a reader needs a thesaurus to understand a simple sentence, then we have not done our job properly. We should write in a straightforward style and avoid unnecessary words. Somno (talk) 05:39, 1 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Somno. I have put back Afterwriting's edit. The tone of old para does not flow well with the rest of article and other articles in general. 124.171.110.173 (talk) 02:20, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
