Entry[edit]

The main entry/introduction/lead of this article is too long compared to the body. I question how such obvious and noticeable aspect was not discussed and also set as a good article. It is a good article but may not meet the criteria well. Please improve the article. Thanks.Continentaleurope (talk)

  • "The September 1948 Florida hurricane was the most intense tropical cyclone to make landfall in the state since the 1935 Labor Day hurricane.[1]" winkilink to landfall (meteorology) in "landfall". You do this in all my GAN's now I return the favor :P YE Pacific Hurricane 00:01, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yeah, I should practice what I preach :P --12george1 (talk) 13:38, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Over 700 buildings and houses were destroyed." a house is a "buildings", so that's redundant. YE Pacific Hurricane 00:01, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • If damage was 2 mil in Cuba and 10 mil in FL, how is the damage the infobox 12.5 million? Do you need to re-take 2nd grade all over again? :P YE Pacific Hurricane 00:01, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Almost 700 buildings and homes were destroyed.[8]" a home is a building, as said earlier. YE Pacific Hurricane 00:01, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Otherwise, we're on the same page, GC. YE Pacific Hurricane 00:01, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
