Repeal?[edit]
The article starts out, "The Separate Car Act is a law...." Is this law still on the books in LA? If not, it'd help to add a citation for the bill that repealed the act. 141.199.102.25 (talk) 16:27, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
How long was this in force?[edit]
Quite aside from the question raised by 141.199.102.25 above, there's the question of how long this law remained in force (as opposed to being on the books but without effect because of court rulings). I imagine it did not survive the Brown v. Board of Education decision of 1954, saying you can't have laws requiring "separate but equal" things. But was it still in effect until then, or was it altered or repealed earlier? Michael Hardy (talk) 17:33, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
