Concerning the deletion of this article[edit]

No one mentions that the geographic name "Armenia" was used on maps and in written accounts to refer to the area. If you see it using this pattern, it makes complete sense: [Ruling State name] [Geographic Name]. It's no different than French Indochina. It's equivalent to "the land known geographically as Armenia during the time when the Seljukids ruled over the area."

The history of this region is far too large to be merged into one article, so the Seljuk Empire's article is for the macro history of the region and the empire's own political history, and the smaller more focused histories of the different regions should have their own articles (hence this one). It also allows for the tying-in of different periods of the history of the land known as Armenia to build a comprehensive contiguous history. Kentronhayastan (talk) 05:27, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
