Sava RegionSAVA Region — "Sava" should be "SAVA" because it is an acronym for Sambava - Antalaha - Vohemar - Andapa, the 4 main towns of the region. Relisted. --JaGatalk 02:56, 23 March 2011 (UTC) – VisionHolder « talk » 22:27, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support as nominated. While both forms are found in sources, the uppercase version seems more accurate. Ucucha 12:54, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. This discussion should address all acronym provinces in Madagascar (e.g., Analanjirofo, Diana) together. It seems most sources (e.g., GeoHive) as well as French and Malagasy Wikipedias use "Sava". —  AjaxSmack  23:14, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. The acronym provinces of Madagascar are an interesting case. In English, they don't seem to be functioning as acronyms at all, but rather as loanwords, and as such shouldn't be capitalised and in common usage aren't. Andrewa (talk) 19:39, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
