comment[edit]

So Sarah Jaffe from Texas is in no way related to Sara Jaffe from the SF Bay Area and Erase Errata? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.126.236.42 (talk) 10:38, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism[edit]

The problem I'm finding on Wikipedia with regard to singers is that the articles give undue weight to how talented they are and nothing from critics of their talent. Jaffe's whining (my opinion) song "Clementine" is currently being played over the speakers in Panera Bread restaurants daily in the U.S. along with other bottom of the barrel folk songs that are very cheap to license and that even ear plugs can't fully stop the pain and distraction from enjoying breakfast. I doubt there will ever be a criticsm section in this article but I'm glad to see some of the fluffy PR stuff is being removed by others. Maybe Jaffe has talent on other songs, and maybe "Clementine" is best suited for a live audience and not speakers, but it is a bad advertisement for her career and should be retired from licensing, in my pompous opinion as an entertainment industry professional. Her official website, probably run by her PR people, has no contact page on it. Not difficult to figure out why. 5Q5 (talk) 12:41, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
