Copy edit[edit]

During copy edit, September 2010, I rearranged the sections. I also removed excess detail from the History section and rewrote it in prose format rather than as a list. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:18, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Companhia Estadual de Engenharia de Transportes e Logística[edit]

See Companhia Estadual de Engenharia de Transportes e Logística and then translate to create a new page. Peter Horn User talk 11:56, 28 July 2016 (UTC) Peter Horn User talk 12:06, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Now the above link works. Peter Horn User talk 12:17, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Making that link "work" by directing it to a talk page (this page) is not the correct method. The correct method, if you don't want to write the article, is to use Template:Interlanguage link, but I am not advocating that, because that article on Portuguese Wikipedia cites no sources at all and has almost no content other than enthusiast-type: route and vehicle list. I don't think it's good practice to redirect readers to a foreign-language page on WP when it's of such poor quality. SJ Morg (talk) 19:53, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dois Irmãos[edit]

Good article ! But, it is said that "The full 6-kilometre (4 mi) route between Largo da Carioca and Dois Irmãos was finally restored to operation and passenger service in January 2019", but in Google maps the distance beyween these places are 47,6 km. Are there 2 places in Rio called Dois Irmãos, or is a typo fault? 89.160.6.85 (talk) 11:57, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The sources cited in the article are correct. The article was incorrect in referring to Dois Irmãos as "Morro Dois Irmãos" – and I have corrected that error. "Morro Dois Irmãos" is a small mountain peak overlooking Rio, whereas "Dois Irmãos" is simply the name of the tramway terminus at the intersection of Rua Almirante Alexandrino and Rua Gomes Lopes (here in Google Street View: https://goo.gl/maps/QJXynBeQFvBUCJaZ6) and I believe is the name of the surrounding neighborhood (or at least was its name when the tramway company named that stop, 120+ years ago). Google Maps does not label the Dois Irmãos neighborhood with that name, and therefore is not able to find it in a search using that name, so it 'points' the searcher to the nearest thing named Dois Irmãos that it can find: Morro Dois Irmãos, which is unrelated. – SJ Morg (talk)
