  • "after placing fourth in a three-way shoot-out" I know what you mean here, but the phrasing is still strange "fourth in a three-way".
  • "bar Perilli" This sentence could use a little more punctuation.
  • "Martina Pretelli was the sole representative of San Marino in athletics and was making her debut at the Olympics at the age of 23." Source?
  • "She was the only athletics competitor to be selected" We don't need to be told she was the only athletics competitor twice in three sentences, so this could use some copyediting.
  • "and was only able to run three races going into the Olympics." And she was only. Also, a comma after "Afterwards" might be in order.
  • The notes are spread into three columns on my screen for only two notes. 30em might not be the best setting for this.
