Conflicting casualty numbers[edit]

Second thing that I noticed is that there are widely different numbers regarding the number of casualties. The article cites 63 deaths and 350 injuries, sourced from that motion picture, I guess. There are many different numbers tho and every source I find, lists something different. For instance, tornado archive states there were 80 deaths and 300 injuries, but I have no clue where that number comes from. An Argentinean research paper on south american tornadoes published by Balbi and Barbieri speaks of 50 (maybe as much as 70) deaths and 500 injuries. One Newspaper clipping from the time cites 46 deaths, while another says there were at least 50 dead and 300 injured. Finally, the book "tornadoes" by Michael and Mary B. Woods cites 54 deaths and 300 injuries. The Argentinian meteorological agency said 63 deaths and only 200 injuries in a tweet commemorating the 50th anniversary of the tornado. This conservative number should prolly be the one included in the article to be honest and also seems the most official to me. Sausius (talk) 17:52, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
