Samuel WesleySamuel Wesley (composer, born 1766) – We have articles on several notable Samuels Wesley and this article does not meet WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. I therefore propose parenthetical disambiguation. To avoid confusion with the other noted composer Samuel Sebastian Wesley I suggest both qualifier and birth date, as per WP:NCPDAB. Cnbrb (talk) 09:03, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - seems legitimate, the poet (father of John and Charles) seems pretty much as significant, and page views don't show a huge lead for this one over all others - [1].  — Amakuru (talk) 15:18, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support agree, would be helpful. In ictu oculi (talk) 19:02, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nomination, Amakuru and In ictu oculi. There are five entries listed upon the Samuel Wesley (disambiguation) page, with no indication that the composer born in 1766 holds a historical position of such prominence that it overwhelms the combined renown of the remaining four entries. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 19:56, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the 1766 one has 1,091 views but the poet has 891, Samuel Sebastian Wesley has 820, the Younger has 516 and Samuel Robert Wesley has 15[[2]]. Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:42, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Post move[edit]

After the move of Samuel Wesley to Samuel Wesley (composer, born 1766), the former page was changed from a REDIRECT pointing to the latter to a REDIRECT to Samuel Wesley (disambiguation). This created many links to that DAB. I suggest to restore the previous REDIRECT target, the composer. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 01:32, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, but I don't think that's the solution, Michael Bednarek. Bingobro, were you thinking of fixing some of those? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:37, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Those links from articles have been cleaned up. NmWTfs85lXusaybq (talk) 10:17, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Justlettersandnumbers: Honestly, I've go to be more careful with page moves (haven't messed up anything in the past) but still, I had totally overlooked the DAB link issues. This is something I will take care of in any future move performed by me (which is usually on non controversial pages with clear consensus). Thanks for pointing this out. Good day!
