Contested CSD[edit]

Samuel Orcutt wrote a good number of books on the histories of Connecticut towns and these books are widely cited. However, perhaps that is not enough to make him notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SageRad (talkcontribs) 17:36, November 5, 2015‎

I reverted the CSD tag, as it was incorrectly applied. The page could still be vulnerable, however, to WP:PROD or WP:AFD. The way to fix that would be to add secondary sources that comment on Orcutt's significance, such as writings by someone else saying that what he wrote was noteworthy. --Tryptofish (talk) 20:12, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Tryptofish. I will work on this article when i have time again in a week. I have used this author's works so many times recently, and there are so many of them and they're well-cited in a lot of other historical literature, that i assumed i would be able to find bio information about him more readily.
