Built on older ship[edit]

ADMIRAL: Built in 1907 as the ALBATROS; rebuilt by Streckfus and renamed the ADMIRAL. Built as a railroad transfer boat at Dubuque, IA in 1907. Owned by the Louisiana & Mississippi Valley Transfer Co. and operated at Vicksburg, MS. Sold in 1937 to Streckfus and rebuilt in 1940 as the ADMIRAL. Entirely air-conditioned. 4,400 passengers. Converted to diesel prop in 1974. --Stunteltje (talk) 06:48, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ditch poster image?[edit]

Since there are three photographs of this ship that are unencumbered by copyright restrictions, why is the so-called "fair use" image of the copyrighted poster needed? I say respect copyright by ditching it. Thank you, Wordreader (talk) 03:10, 15 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple issues[edit]

I added the Multiple issues template to the article. I can't get the date to appear, though. Sorry about that. I am hoping that the editors of this article are still interested and have their citations at hand.

  • Information in the article disagrees with information in the info box.
  • Citations are missing.
  • The article is poorly written in places.
  • Some of the article sounds like an advertisement.
