April Fool's hoax[edit]

This link claiming to show a remix of Atmosphere by superstar DJ Andrew Weatherall is an April Fool's hoax, including the part about Abbott preventing the remix from being played on the radio. --Air (talk) 16:33, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bella Emberg[edit]

It has been incorrectly stated that Rus ABbott married Bella Emberg, no citations and no references could be found and thus has been removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.149.6.38 (talk) 01:49, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bella Emberg ought to be mentioned in the article. They worked together for many years.--Shantavira|feed me 17:07, 17 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Basildon Bond[edit]

Why does a request for Basildon Bond redirect here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Safebreaker (talkcontribs) 14:53, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because it was a character he played, and said character is not important enough to have its own article. Best name (talk) 01:41, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed Basildon Bond as it has several meanings. --Air (talk) 15:22, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Classic hit record[edit]

How can Russ Abbott refuse to let "atmosphere" to be played on the radio? That song is a classic. That's like Paul McCartney refusing to let radio play "The Long and Winding Road", oh well....

See section 'hoax' above --Air (talk) 16:33, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Purple People Eater?[edit]

didn't he have a single, probably in the late 70's/early 80's 'purple people eater'?

Do you mean this: Purple People Eater?? Was there another version? --Schmiteye 21:02, 19 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

1980's computer game[edit]

Basildon Bond is a platformer computer game, from the mid 1980's. Can someone create a page for that? Thanks.DaveDodgy (talk) 02:41, 15 April 2009 (UTC) Just found the correct title for the game: "The Adventures of Bond... Basildon Bond"DaveDodgy (talk) 02:43, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Added to disambig page Basildon Bond. --Air (talk) 15:22, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Teddy Boy character[edit]

Why are only Basildon Bond and C U Jimmy mentioned as characters. Much of Abbot's popularity lay with his Teddy Boy character, Vince Prince, who appeared in The Black Abbots, Freddy Starr show and later in his own show. Several of his records were based around this persona. (79.190.69.142 (talk) 22:32, 27 December 2010 (UTC))[reply]
