Poor Quality Article[edit]

The article is badly in need of citations. Also, at least one statement contradicts, or is not supported, by Maria von Trapp's 1949 book. There is nothing in Maria's book about Rupert not wanting to replace a Jewish doctor. That makes no sense. Even if it is true, did Rupert think, by refusing the position, that the Jewish doctor would keep his job? In the 1949 book, Rupert indicates that if he took the job, he would have to perform procedures to which he was opposed as a Catholic and as a man. That too is another one of Maria's ridiculous statements. Rupert was talking about a job in Vienna which, until a few months before, was under Austrian control. Also, how did he become a doctor if he was unwilling to perform certain "procedures" that were allegedly being performed in the hospitals?

This article needs citations, and the above contradictions explained, or else it should be removed. John Paul Parks (talk) 17:29, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
