Source: "The Florida Federation of Women’s Club, and particularly the Preservation Committee chairwoman May Mann Jennings, took a deep interest in the issue and began campaigning for the designation of Paradise Key as a state park. You need to provide a QPQ within a week of nominating
The target article needs to be in bold font in the hook.
The hook as currently crafted doesn't work; "woman" links to May Mann Jennings (in violation of WP:EGG) and you'd have to name this person in the hook if you wanted to see the picture being used. Schwede 66 09:36, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oldest state park ?

This may not be Florida's older state park. The Florida Park Service Ranger Association page at https://fpsra.org/Florida-State-Park-History states:

"...when the Florida Legislature created a commission to erect a monument at Olustee, in Baker County, the site of a significant Confederate victory in a 1864 battle of the war between the States. This is the earliest established unit of what is now the Florida State Park system."

The above took pace in 1912. I'm a Life member of the Citizens Support Organization for this park and served on its Board of Directors for many years.

Also, the above Florida Park Ranger Association site states:

"In 1915, the Legislature conveyed 960 acres in Dade County to the Florida Federation of Women’s Club for a Royal Palm State Park – a misnomer, as the park never came under the jurisdiction of the State." Thomas R. Fasulo (talk) 00:46, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I see your point. The state didn't want the financial responsibility of either park, so they handed it off to women's organizations. I did not find a source cited in the Olustee Battlefield article that supports the statement, "It also has the distinction of being the first park in the Florida State Park system." Do you have one?
