Was this Order conferred also by the King of Hannover post 1837?

Caption under illustration is wrong[edit]

That's not a Star of this Order. It is a Badge. Various images of what various permutations of the Badges and Stars of this Order have looked like can be found at

Done, you could change it yourself, but I did it. The image was changed in August 2014 but the caption was not correctly modified. EricSerge (talk) 04:15, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

wrong flag of the kingdom of hanover[edit]

what kind of an idiot has drawn the flag of the kingdom of Hanover? The white horse in the shown flag is that of Lower Saxony, a state constituted in 1946. The coat of arms would be designed in 1952. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.163.110.249 (talk) 21:12, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see that this has been sitting here for half a dozen years, but Flags of the World website says, with numerous citations, that the white prancing horse on red was widely if unofficially used as the civil flag of Hannover before the separation of the crowns in 1837.
