The notability is dubious. Two reliable sources mention the subject very briefly and another one is an interview with the subject. All the other sources are self-published by the subject and their existence doesn't establish notability. The only notable event here could be covered by the WP:SINGLEEVENT policy, and there is no article about the event, and probably shouldn't be.

The first time you added the category without adding a source to the article to back the claim that Roland Bartetzko is convicted on terrorism charges. Notable?[edit]

It's very unclear what is this person notable for. The cited 2002 news article from the BBC says that the case was "high-profile", which could be the beginning of notability, but this is covered by the WP:SINGLEEVENT policy, and this begs the question — is the event itself notable? Could there perhaps be an article about it? The other sources are brief mentions in books about foreign war volunteers and war crimes. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 05:27, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your objections sound reasonable. In addition, Google have only several finds on him from the last year, besides his activity in Quora. About half of them are about his book. --KuboF Hromoslav (talk) 16:02, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The subject's other activities are mentioned extensively in From Byron to Bin Laden, which was published by Harvard University Press. It's absolutely a case of WP:SINGLEEVENT. His only notability is being a terrorist (and even that, primarily from a single incident). That's it. All coverage subsequent is either based on that incident (in the case of tertiary and secondary sources), or in the case of his Quora profile, relates to his (primary source) commentary about that incident. Discharge[edit]

Source [3], the content of the DW article is not correctly reflected, I'll take the liberty to edit and move the sentence up, since this discharge has nothing to do with the incident described in that section. The article does not say that he was discharged in 2001 (and the Wiki article itself says he left the Bundeswehr in 1992), it says a 2001 parliamentary inquiry's answer contained the information he was discharged (at an unidentified point in time) under Sec. 55 para 5 of the Soldatengesetz. Unfortunately looking for the parliamentary record is searching a needle in a haystack. Anyways he can't have been discharged in 2001, since the cited Sec. 55 para. 5 deals with discharge of Zeitsoldaten ("fixed term soldiers") within their first four years of service. He joined the Bundeswehr in 1987 and if we assume that he only became Zeitsoldat after the mandatoy military service (which was 20 months at the time) his discharge under Sec. 55 para. 5 cannot have happened any later than 1994.
